My message on independence

By Muyiwa Olayinka

Share if you love your country.

I do because God has reasons for creating me as a Nigerian.

He could have made me a Briton, but He chooses not.
He could have made me an American, He does otherwise.

I cannot question my creator.

Though what i see around me concerning this country can make someone to be despondent.
Many have lost hope on Nigeria focusing on countries outside the country.

I’m not condemning anybody, but i choose to use my blog to spread news about my country.

80% of news on my blog has to do with this country.
I choose not to know so.much about Clinton/ Trump madness because i asked myself, what has Obama my black brother done for our continent despite the celebration that ushered his inauguration

This is another topic for another day. Watch out for it on my blog.

Let us celebrate our uniqueness.

Nigeria is the only country that has more than 350 different tongues, different values and beliefs.

Though i criticise my president for not doing enough but it is not an easy task to rule this nation.

I pity him at times.

For once let us set our differences apart and celebrate this country.

We have come this far, waded and survived many landmines. We have reasons to celebrate.

Once again, Happy independence
