Banky W Spotted Prostrating To Dele Momodu In Public, Shames Davido’s Lyrics “Dele Na My Boy” (Pics)
The Yorubas in the South west Nigeria are noted for rare humility and respect to elders. It is a taboo for the young ones to disrepect their elders. The society frowns at it.
One of the ways to show respect is by prostrating in case of a male, and a female kneels down to greet elders. It is however a surprise and absurd when Nigerian music sensation, Davido, in his twenties, insulted Chief Dele Momodu, international publisher of Ovation magazine, in one of his songs.
Over a year ago, when singer Davido had a clash with the uncle of his baby mama Chief Dele Momodu, he openly disrespected him and even dragged him in his lyrics.
However, a much older Banky W has shown that not all entertainers born of the same age grade of Davido, direspects elders.
Banky W has just endeared himself to many more fans and music lovers after a photo of him prostrating to greet Chief Dele Momodu surfaced online.
The one time Presidential candidate who was obviously touched by Banky’s humility and respect says that he met the singer ten years ago in Toronto and he loved him instantly.
It didñt end there, fans are calling the attention of Davido to this act of respect and reminding him of his “Dele na my boy” lyrics.
It seems Banky W needs to add “humble” to his name. Adesua wasn’t kidding when she said she found a good man.
Banky is one of the good ones.
