Many Feared Dead As Gas Station In Magodo Caught Fire (pics)

It was a sad day on Monday January 15th as a popular gas station in Magodo, Lagos, caught fire.

Sources said the station caught fire when the tanker conveying LPG (popular called cooking gas) was discharging. The fire spread and engulfed  the whole complex.

One report says 10 persons have been confirmed dead in the explosion that occured at the Second Coming Gas station in Magodo. The gas plant is located on CMD Road, opposite Magodo Brooks Estate.

Operatives of the Lagos State Fire Service, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Federal Road Safety Corps and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) tried in vain to contain the fire and carry out rescue operation.
