For long, Indian origin business men have made it big in the west. Because of their shrewdness and creativity, they have made fortunes and established in European countries like the United Kingdom.

Sadar Reuben Sigh is one of them. He was once dubbed the ‘British Bill Gates’. He had seen a wild swing of fortunes. Singh was in his 20s, when he set up a clothing retail chain called Miss Attitude in 1995. Even while he was studying, his business was worth over £10m British pounds.

He started out by working over 20 hours in his first ‘Miss Attitude’ store at the age of 17. With the hunger to build an empire for him, he kept striving for more and achieved a lot.

Singh’s business acumen paid off handsomely and accumulated huge wealth with his own ventures and never asked for a share in his father’s already established business.

The CEO of AlldayPA became widely rich and popular in the 90s Britain.

An event occurred to him and made him eccentric.

Singh, a Sikh, was insulted by a racist Englishman, about his turban.

In response, Mr Singh challenged the English man that he would match his turban’s colours with that of his Rolls Royces for a full week. Mr Singh actually did it.

A legendary classic car freak that he was, Singh brought out a host of Rolls Royce and matched them with his turban colour gracefully. Do not forget that the British cherish the heritage of Rolls Royce.

Talking about the elite Rolls Royce cars, the brand in itself is a huge name and is famous for rejecting customers who don’t fit in their criteria of being reputed enough to carry a Royce key. Some big Bollywood names who own one of the perfectly crafted beauties are Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra. But certainly, Singh’s impressive numbers can put to shame any other Rolls Royce owner. Though now the elite brand has a number of owners in India, to own a Riyce during the early 2000s was in itself a big feat which Sardar Reuben Singh aced perfectly.”

Changing circumstances saw him parting with the retail chain, he had to sell out his debt-laden business for a shocking £1 (approx Rs 80) to American financier Gary Kelsch.

Mr Singh also had to cede control of AllDayPA and was declared bankrupt in 2007. He had since bounced back and regained control of AllDayPA in 2015. The company now employs 500 people.
