Antonio Conte ‘can’t wait’ to leave Chelsea, claims Gianluca Vialli

Former Chelsea manager Gianluca Vialli claimed that Antonio Conte ‘can’t wait’ to leave the club following their 3-1 defeat to Tottenham.

Alvaro Morata opened the scoring in the 30th minute at Stamford Bridge but Christian Eriksen’s wondergoal brought the sides level just before the break.

Dele Alli sealed three crucial points for Spurs with a second-half brace to pile yet more pressure on Conte, with the Italian’s position coming under increasing scrutiny.

Vialli, who played for and managed Chelsea from 1996 to 2000, believes Chelsea’s transfer policy has upset his former Juventus and Italy team-mate.

Conte can’t wait to leave Chelsea,’ Vialli said on Sky Sport Italia.

‘He can’t stand that they sell or buy players without consulting him. The truth is, Chelsea would like a manager who is more of a club man.’

Conte insisted that he was ‘not worried’ about losing his job after Chelsea’s defeat to Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

‘No, I’m not worried,’ he said.

‘Honestly. I think that I’m giving – the players are giving – everything this season.
