After being destroyed by a raging fire in June, the iconic mansion at Dreamworld in Queenslands has now been demolished, as reported by TV Tonight

Between 2001 and 2014, millions of Australians would tune in nightly to watch housemates put to the test on the famous compound.

But since the show ended, it had been left to rot, with former housemate Skye Wheatley video blogging a visit to the dilapidated site earlier this year.

In June, it was targeted by vandals and set on fire, with four children, aged between 11 and 15, later charged with arson.

At the time, Skye, who lives nearby, wrote on Instagram: ‘Someone has lit the Big Brother House on fire. It’s rude if you ask me. Leave it alone guys, leave it alone’.

She added that it was difficult to watch, saying: ‘That is so sad. Like I’m literally watching my home go up in flames. My heart is breaking right now’.

For the former reality star the Big Brother House must indeed feel like a former home as she spent months living there while appearing on season 11 in 2014.

Since then, the rubble from the fire and remaining fixtures have been demolished.

The only sign that one of the country’s most memorable reality shows was once here is a faint outline in the rubble of the former swimming pool.

The City of Gold Coast Council approved the demolition in July.
