A Russian nurse in her 20s wore only underwear under her see-through PPE gown at an all-male only ward of a hospital in Tula, 100 miles south of Moscow. A patient took the picture and share on social media. Despite getting no complaints from the male patients, the hospital imposed disciplinary action against the nurse for ‘non-compliance with the requirements for medical clothing’.
In defence, she said that she was not aware that the gown was so transparent and she claimed that she was merely wearing a swimsuit and not underwear. She felt hot in the PPE gown. Many praised the nurse for her bravery as she helped to cheer up the COVID-19 patients.
Russia confirmed 8,764 new coronavirus infections Wednesday, bringing the country’s official number of cases to 308,705 and marking the lowest daily increase since 1st May.
