Cardi B made a career off being outspoken and she hasn’t stopped voicing her opinion since and the singer uses her social media quite well for the same. The singer recently posted a video of the Wisconsin incident where an unarmed Black man was shot by the police seven times in a row.

She captioned the video: “Wow this is SICKENING! I can’t believe it! What’s going to be the excuse now? They just don’t give a f**k nomore! SOMETHING MUST HAPPEN! Yooo this is insane they really not giving a f**k anymore. Lord please!” In the video, a man can be seen walking towards a vehicle with two officers behind him, when the shooting happens. The viral video appeared to have been taken from across the street. As described by The Associated Press, three officers are first heard shouting and pointing their weapons at a man who walks around the front of a sport-utility vehicle parked on the street. After that, the man can be seen opening the driver’s side door and leaning inside when one officer grabs his shirt from behind and fires into the vehicle. At least seven shots are heard in the video. It was not clear whether more than one officer fired, the AP reported. The man was identified as Jacob Blake.

As soon as the rapper shared the video with her 73.8M Instagram family, fans started reacting to it, as one user said, “We not safe here.” Another made speculations and said, “But legally cops aren’t supposed to shoot you if you’re back is facing them.” While a mother commented, “LORD PLEASE PROTECT MY SON IN THIS WEIRY WORLD.”

Some said Blake shouldn’t have walked away, saying, “BUT WHY DID HE WALK AWAY NEVER DO THAT!! Ever I myself would shot too regardless of color! what if he had a gun in his car?” Another said, “Pry cause dude is getting in his car to leave and they told him to not move. Prolly as simple as that ain’t hard people all u gotta do is listen and stuff won’t happen.” While some questioned the move and said, “Resisting arrest & opening vehicle door and reaching in to grab something?”

Some angry internet users commented, “7 shots that is insane Black Lives Matter we not letting this corona bs distract us from the fact that innocent black lives are being taken every day by the police and y’all are just okay with it.” Another said, “I swear! like he was an animal! I don’t even think they shot animals that many times!!”

On August 23, CBS 58 in Milwaukee, reported a large group gathered at the scene following the shooting. In a video posted by CBS 58 reporter Kim Shine, people in the crowd were heard chanting, “No justice no peace!” Some raised their voices and used profanity.

She later updated the tweet: “The vehicle believed to be involved in this incident has been towed away. There’s a few dozen people protesting. Some have stomped atop at least one cop car. Some tires slashed. Officers are inside the tape. Some talking w/ crowd.”

“We understand that the cops have a job to do. But we understand that the cops have their job to do with restraint,” said witness La-Ron Franklin. CBS 58 reported that late on August 23 evening, protesters “forced out more than a dozen officers guarding the scene and right before that, someone started a fire and an officer was attacked”.

People at the scene spoke to CBS 58 about the victim. “I know he’s got kids and a girl. I never had a problem with him. I always see him every day. Parks right behind me on the street,” Aaron, a neighbor, told the station. “It goes back to the Emmett Tills. We’re tired of it. Rodney King. We’re tired of it. And right now, this is the wrong generation that this is happening to. The frustration is boiling to the top and we’re sick and tired,” Clyde McLemore, Black Lives Matter of Lake County, Illinois, told CBS 58.

As soon as the news went viral, the Internet started questioning the cops and said, “WARNING: Police fire several shots at point blank range towards the back of an unarmed Black man walking away and into a car in #Kenosha Wisconsin. Neighbors report that he was trying to break up a fight between 2 women. Why the use of lethal force?”

While one user tweeted, “I just spoke to Jacob’s cousin @PaulyG103 in the hospital. He said they need your prayers and not condolences. He is out of surgery and in the ICU. He can make it through this. He is fighting for his life. Please please please pray for Jacob Blake. #Kenosha #PrayForJacobBlake.”
