Second Wave Coronavirus Federal Civil Servants GL 12 & Below Should Stay At Home For 5 Weeks As Religious Centres Remain Under Restriction

Thee Federal Government on Monday ordered all federal civil servants on Grade Level 12 and below to stay at home for the next five weeks from Monday.

The chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, made this known in a statement on Monday.

He also announced that all schools would remain closed till January 18.

Mustapha also said restrictions have been placed on social and religious gatherings for five weeks.

Recall that On Sunday, Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC), has reported 501 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.

The infections were reported from 14 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The NCDC disclosed that Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 218 infections, FCT had 112, Kaduna reported 53, Plateau reported 24 and Katsina confirmed 21 infections.

Other states that recorded fresh COVID-19 infections are Kano – 16, Yobe -14, Ondo – 10, Ogun – 9, Edo – 7, Bayelsa-5, Rivers – 4, Borno – 4, Osun – 2 and Ekiti – 2.
