Few Days After Crying On Stage, Wasiu Ayinde Undergoes Surgery (pics)

Fans of Fuji music legend and Mayegun of Yoruba Land, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Anifowoshe Marshal better known as K1, are currently thanking God for him. Why? The highly talented musician has just undergone a successful surgery. According to a recent post by his best friend, Bolaji Basia, on Facebook which is about K1, “Hmmm. When he sang bobo nogo die unless to ba darugbo, it was like fun… But, it’s becoming a prophecy right now. Minor surgery though but I still give thanks to Almighty God for the success.” He posted without disclosing the basis of the surgery.

And few minutes after Bolaji Basia posted the message, fans and friends of the legendary artiste bombarded the comment section of the post with messages thanking God for the life of K1. Meanwhile, the post about his surgery is coming few days after a video of the 64 year old singer emerged online in which he wept while performing on stage. In the video in question, K1 asked all his band men on stage with him, to go down on their kneels while he did the same. And immediately everyone was on their kneels, K1 began to sing.

But the song he launched to was dedicated to thanking God for all he had achieved as an artiste, and he prayed for more grace of God over his life and career. And by the time K1 would change the tone of the song into his mega hit single titled: “Ade Ori Okin”, he was already weeping while still kneeling down for God.

It took the effort of one of his managers, Olamilekan Gaji, to pull him up from the floor, and kept patting him on the back to stop crying. And while tears were still being dabbed from his face by his Personal Assistant known as Kazeem, but simply referred to as KC, K1 kept crying as he continued repeating lines of the song, “Aanu morigba, Ade Ori Okin…”

But whether there is a connection between his weeping on stage at that point in time, and his impending surgery then, cannot be established. Meanwhile, it would be recalled that, in 2009, K1 also went under the knife in far away Canada. And while rumours were rife in Nigeria that he had cancer, his manager then, Percy Ademokun, who is now based in America, was quick to put a lie to the rumour that, though K1 had a surgery, but the ailment had nothing to do with Cancer.
