The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, briefly slumped at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Thursday morning.
Mr Bawa was speaking on the importance of digital identification in commemoration of the National Identity Day when the incident occurred.
He became emotional as he was talking about the death of an unnamed employee of the commission during his speech.
He was said to have continued his speech but later stopped and walked off the stage to take his seat.
He fell shortly after sitting down.
