Inside N250M School Burna Boy Built For His Odiokwu Community & Delivered By VDM (pics)
Activst VeryDarkMan (VDM) has officially completed and commissioned the ₦250 million community secondary school and clinic project funded entirely by Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy.
The state-of-the-art facility is located in the Odiokwu community of Ahoada West Local Government Area in Rivers State. The project was born after a viral video surfaced online exposing the dilapidated state of the previous structure. In response, Burna Boy financed the entire overhaul, while VDM stayed on-site to directly oversee and supervise the engineering work handled by Fego Works Limited.
Key Features of the Completed Project
Classroom Blocks: Fully equipped spaces for both Junior Secondary (JSS 1–3) and Senior Secondary (SS 1–3) students, fitted with quality doors, fans, and new desks.
Healthcare Wing: A fully functioning community clinic featuring over 10 rooms designed for consultations, maternity care, emergency responses, and hospital beds.
Modern Amenities: Infrastructure includes an on-site library, standard toilets, administrative offices, and a secure perimeter fence built with over 18,000 concrete blocks.
Power & Security: The entire facility is illuminated by 17 solar streetlights ensuring round-the-clock light and added safety.
